After reaching Oslo, we went straight to the Information Center or Trafikanten, near the central station. Bought our 24-hour ticket there and off we walked to our hotel.
We stayed at Thon Hotel Munch, located at Munchs gate 5. It was a budget hotel with all the necessary amenities. The only downside of this hotel was, we had to climb up 2 flights of stairs and went down at the other side of the road in order to get to the nearest tram station. For those with strollers or pram, it was quite exhausting and frustrated. Imagined we have to carry Sara's stroller up the stairs and down again. Kalau ringan takpe jugak.
After checking in, we wanted to go for lunch since it was already noon. Went to the central station again to look for Halal Restaurants but to no avail. Then we decided to go straight to Vigelands Parken.
Vigelands Parken is a sculpture park that contains 212 naked sculptures in bronze, granite and wrought iron. They were the work of Gustav Vigeland.
It was said that Vigeland modelled all the sculptures by himself without the help of anybody. The sculptures are placed on an 850m long axis divided into 5 main units : Main Entrance, The Bridge, The Fountain, The Monolith Plateau & The Wheel of Life.

...The Fountain...
...The Monolith Plateau...
...Sinnataggen, The Angry Boy...
Oh, and don't ask me why the sculptures are all naked. I tried to search in the net but couldn't find the reason. Maybe naked person / sculptures have more art value kot..hahahahah..

Then we went back to the city centre. Our next stop was Aker Brygge Stranden where you can find a lot cruise ships that can bring you on fjord tours around Oslo.
Near that is Akershus Festning or Fortress. Inside the compound there are Akershus Castle and Fortress which was commenced in 1299 under King Håkon V.
It was said that this castle withstood a number of sieges because of its strategic location. King Christian IV (1588-1648) had the castle modernised and converted into a Renaisssance castle and royal residence. During the 17th and 18th century the castle fell into decay, and restoration work only started in 1899. We didn't go into the compound since the it was about to rain at that time.
We continued our journey to the Nasjonalgalleriat or The National Gallery. Along the way, we passed Oslo's City Hall and Oslo University.
The entrance to the National Gallery was free, so we took the chance to go and look at the ever famous drawing of Edvard Munch called "Skrik" or "The Scream". It is one of the world's most well known works of art after Monalisa by Leonardo Da Vinci. The drawing is said to be worth 75 million dollars. It has been reported stolen while it was on display in The Munch Museum, also in Oslo. After that, we went to The Royal Palace at Slottsparken.
Since it was nearly dusk, we decided to end our sightseeing that day by taking the Subway to the central station. The subway or any other types of public transportation in Oslo (except for the bus) is not "stroller-friendly". The subway doesn't have any lifts or escalator. The trams got stairs and divider. It was like training to compete in a heavy lifting competition while we were in Oslo. Then we went to Storgata to find halal restaurant. You have to beware in Oslo. Although there are restaurants selling kebabs & shawarmas and the name sounds arabic like Habibi etc, you still have to ask the worker whether they food they served are 100% halal or not. Because we asked a few restaurants and most of them said that they don't sell 100% halal food (the workers la..). Then this one guy showed us Brugata Kebab, he said that's the only restaurant that sell 100% halal food coz he's muslim as well. So, we "attacked" the restaurant coz everybody was starrrrving. We tapaued the food and went back to the hotel.
