After coming back from Hamburg for a week, we took my mom and sis to Malmö, Sweden.
We started our journey around 9 am by train crossing the ever famous Øresund Bridge and arrived in Malmo C about 45 minutes later. Went straight to Stortorget or the Market Square. It was built in 1536 by Jörgen Knock, the mayor of Malmö at that time.
Stortorget was said to be the largest market square in Northern Europe for a long time. There was an equestrian statue of King Karl X Gustav who took Skåne from the Danes in 1658 thru Roskilde Treaty. Actually I read somewhere that Malmö was originally a part of Denmark.
After strolling thru Stortorget, it was already 2 pm and the temperature was 31 deg C and we were staaaaarrrrrving. Finally, we found a restaurant that serves Thai & Afghan halal food. Luckily for us, the owner of the restaurant is married to an Indonesian woman and he’s able to speak Indonesian (sempat la jugak kutuk2 mat saleh yg kata salad tanghoon dia pedas..hheeheh).
The buffet costed about SEK52 per person and he didn’t want to take any money from us. He said that we are his guests so guests shouldn’ pay. Tapi since he just opened his restaurant a month ago, we insisted on paying. He’s such a nice person. Doa kami semoga dimurahkan rezeki oleh Allah.
After isi-ing our stomach, went back to the central station by bus coz my mom was tired. Wanted to find somewhere to perform our Zuhur solah, but decided to go back to Copenhagen first since it was only about 3.00 pm and Asar is at 5.45 pm. Arrived in Copenhagen around 4 pm.
